Sam Roberts has a background in the advertising world, but a love of typography and a number of side projects under his ‘Ghostsigns‘ initiative resulted in creative collaborations with contemporary signwriters. This led to him founding Better Letters – a specialist lettering and signwriting agency, to champion the craft and its future.
Sam has selected some of the best examples of typography and lettering from the AOI folios, encompassing hand written scripts, CGI illustrations, logos and more!

The actual house number itself is of a fantastic quality and are made using 3mm weatherproof aluminium with 22mm stand-offs, giving that very modern look and ensuring their robustness! They measure around 169mm tall so very readable from the road (your postman will love you that little bit more). The black and white illustrations are complimented by the vibrant backing cards within the packaging, and the different colours bring everything together as one collection. Everything has been designed, created and sourced by myself, and they can be used for so many things; from wedding presents, birthdays, thank you gifts, house warming and Christmas presents, to educational wall features or living room decor!
