LUSTR Illustration Festival 2025

LUSTR is a festival of contemporary original illustration in Prague and the largest illustration exhibition in the Czech Republic.

LUSTR isn’t just pictures on the walls – it is diverse installations by more than 100 selected artists, as well as workshops, talks/lectures, educational activities, music and drinks. The festival is a unique chance for the artists to meet each other, and share their experiences and skills in a fun environment.

So what has LUSTR prepared for you in the 2025 edition?

For this year’s LUSTR program, we’ve selected themes and personalities that cannot be overlooked in today’s zeitgeist. The main exhibition explores contemporary forms of sensitivity, fragility, and intimacy in illustration and comics. While the world accelerates and increasingly values efficiency, decisiveness, and other measurable indicators of productivity, the artists featured in New Forms of Fragility offer something entirely different: better self-understanding, a sense of belonging, and radical honesty with oneself. Some of the featured artists include Tara Booth, María Medem, Raman Djafari, Eric Schwarz, Malwine Stauss, and Melek Zertal.
