What is EU GPSR?

EU GPSR, or General Product Safety Regulation, is a new EU regulation that took effect on December 13, 2024. Its purpose is to ensure the safety of all consumer products sold in the European Union and Northern Ireland.

The new regulations, when introduced, caused a lot of issues for small businesses and the illustration community, many of whom had to stop sales to the EU and Northern Ireland. Andrea Collins from Global Trade Department, who hosted the below webinar, does not believe EU GPSR should be a reason to prevent small businesses from selling their products to the EU and Northern Ireland.
